Ground breaking for new CSI health building
05:46 PM MDT on Saturday, May 17, 2008
TWIN FALLS -- Idaho Gov. Butch Otter and other officials have broken ground to mark construction of a new health
sciences building at the College of Southern Idaho.
Construction will begin for real July 15 on the 72,400-square-foot, $21 million Health Sciences and Human Services
building.
When completed in late 2009, the building will have eight classrooms, three lecture halls, program and computer labs, six
study rooms, a commons area, faculty offices and parking.
Otter says the new building will help meet the need for more doctors and nurses in rural areas of the state.
CSI officials say the new building will have space to accommodate 190 nursing students each year.
