BOISE -- Someone from the Magic Valley area is likely holding an Idaho Lottery ticket worth $1,000 a week for an entire year. The Idaho Lottery has confirmed that one winning ticket matched all five numbers in Wednesday night’s draw from the Weekly Grand game.
“This is our fourth jackpot winner on Weekly Grand since the game debuted last summer,” said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director.
The winning numbers from the Jan. 25th Weekly Grand draw were 5, 6, 7, 11 and 31. The winning ticket was sold in Twin Falls County.
Weekly Grand is a regular $2 Idaho-only draw game that debuted August 2011. In Weekly Grand, players who match all five numbers correctly win the game’s jackpot – $1,000 each week for an entire year, with taxes being paid by the Idaho Lottery. The total prize amount begins at $77,380, which after taxes is exactly $52,000. The winner has 180 days to claim their prize.
