BOISE -- It was a big winning weekend for three lucky Idahoans.
The Idaho Lottery paid out $400,000 in prizes on Monday and Friday to three scratch game winners.
April Taylor of Boise claimed a $250,000 top prize on the game $250,000 Riches.
“I didn’t get any sleep last night at all,” said Taylor after she purchased her winning ticket from KJ’s on Fairview Avenue. “I was so excited, I was shaking!”
Taylor is the 75th person in Idaho Lottery history to win at least $250,000 since 1989.
Larry Gore of Twin Falls came to the lottery headquarters in Boise Monday to collect $100,000 he won on the Word O Rama game. He bought the ticket from a lottery vending machine at the Winco Foods store on Blue Lakes Boulevard in Twin Falls.
“My wife didn’t really believe that it was real until we had it validated at a store and got the slip that said we needed to take the ticket to Boise to claim it,” said Gore, a long-time resident of Twin Falls.
Last Friday, Lorie Parsons of Filer claimed the first top prize of $50,000 on Big Beeline Bingo, a scratch ticket that she purchased from a lottery vending machine at the Fred Meyer on Blue Lakes Boulevard in Twin Falls.
Both Taylor and Gore say they plan to pay off bills with their winnings.
