BOISE -- The new class of inductees for the World Sports Humantarian Hall of Fame were announced today.

The class of 2008 includes three top athletes from three different sports who are being recognized for their philanthropic efforts.

They are former NBA legend Vlade Divac, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Warrick Dunn and former Olympic skier Jimmie Heuga.

- Divac played in the NBA and international basketball for 16 years, winning two Olympics silver medals and two FIBA World Championships. Since his playing career ended, Divac has gone on to serve as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and help provide aid and other resources to refugees and displaced persons.

- Dunn is a three-time Pro-Bowl running back who is entering his 12th NFL season. He is being recognized because his foundation helps single-parents and their children realize their dream of home ownership by providing partial down payments and home furnishings.

- Heuga is one of two Americans to earn the first Olympic medals in alpine events. After being afflicted with multiple sclerosis(MS) at the height of his athletic career, Huega went on to found an internationally acclaimed MS center focused on helping others with the disease maintain productive and healthy lives.

The induction ceremony is scheduled for the Morrison Center on June 24 at 7:30 p.m.
