10:52 PM MDT on Friday, July 20, 2007
Boise Police arrested Jon Helmandollar for driving under the influence Friday morning.
Officers believe it was something other than alcohol in his system when Helmandollar failed a field sobriety test.
Boise Police Sgt. Rigo Delgadillo told KTVB it all started a little before 11 A.M when cops got a report of a reckless driver. The caller told police the driver hit a curb and got a flat tire.
Two minutes later, they spotted a car matching the description with Helmandollar at the wheel on Fairview Avenue.
Officers arrested Helmandollar about half an hour later, and took him to Ada County Jail. Helmandollar posted bail and left the jail.
Cops are waiting for the results of a toxicolgy to report to learn what might be in his system.
The Eagle High Grad scored 14 touchdowns as a freshman in 2004, but sat out the 2005 season for unspecified personal reasons.
