Broncos headed back to Hawaii for bowl game

BOISE - The Boise State Broncos are headed back to the islands. This time to play East Carolina in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl in Honolulu on Sunday December 23rd. WAC commissioner Karl Benson confirmed the matchup to KTVB.COM and 7 Sports Sunday night.
The Broncos finished the regular season with a 10-2 record after falling to Hawai'i in the season finale at Aloha Stadium on November 23rd.
It'll mark the 6th consecutive bowl appearance for Boise State. The Broncos defeated Oklahoma 43-42 in overtime at the 2007 Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona one year ago.
East Carolina qualified for the Hawaii Bowl through its membership in Conference USA after completing a 7-5 regular season. The Pirates accepted an invitation to play in the game this past Saturday.
As for the #10 Hawai'i Warriors, they were selected as a BCS at-large team to play in the Sugar Bowl vs. #5 Georgia. It marks the second consecutive year that the Western Athletic Conference has delivered an undefeated team to a BCS game. Boise State turned the trick a year ago.
