CableOne notified its customers of the change via a billing insert. The notice said the company has been working to increase the speeds of the service.

Cable television services are unaffected by the pricing change.
Qwest Communications offers a 1.5 MBPS service for $26.99, and 7 MBPS for $36.99 per month with special offers. Clearwire offers a wireless 2 MBPS service in the $30 range. Both Qwest and Clearwire also require the purchase or rental of a modem.
