IDAHO FALLS- More than 50,000 visitors from throughout the nation saw the
Lewis and Clark exhibit at the Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls before it
closed this week.
The exhibit called "Discovering Idaho: The World of Lewis and Clark,"
was open for six months and was the longest-running exhibit for the
museum.
It featured over 800 artifacts from the expedition 200 years ago, many
borrowed from the private collection of Peyton "Bud" Clark, the
great-great-great grandson of William Clark.
Among them was the original belt knife and sheath worn by Clark on the
expedition.
