Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire at Tri State Marine before the business sustained major damage.

NAMPA -- An overnight fire caused one local business quite the scare.

Flames sparked around 1 a.m. at the Tri State Marine on the 1600 block of Industrial Road.

Nampa Fire officials say the business did not have an automatic alarm.

They say an officer driving around in the area noticed smoke coming from the roof and called the fire department.

Firefighters quickly arrived and put out the blaze.

Officers say the damage was contained to a workshop, and that the business should be up and running today.
