Willie Evans, 97, of Parma, has been found dead in Boise County.
PARMA -- A 97-year-old Parma man reported missing nearly two weeks ago has been found dead in his 1988 Chevrolet pickup truck in Boise County.
The truck driven by Willie Evans was spotted by two men in a highway cleanup crew around noon Sunday along Idaho 21.
Parma Police say it appears the truck left the highway near milepost 51.8 between Lowman and Idaho City. It traveled 150 feet down an embankment and came to rest upon some large rocks and trees.
Evans was reported missing from the Parma area on Oct. 6. .
A search by Parma Police and Fish and Game officers along the Snake River turned up empty.
Local pilots also assisted in an aerial search for Evans along the Highway 95 corridor from Payette to Jordan Valley.
Evans' body was identified through photographs and items in the wallet.
A preliminary coroner’s report puts his time of death around two weeks ago.
Evans had a substantial amount of cash on him, as well as several credit cards.
Boise County Coroner Pam Garlock says the cause of death is pending, but at this time there does not appear to be anything suspicious.
