Pedro Cardenas-Briones, 19 left and Heriberto Rodrigues Escalante, 21 right were arrested and charged with burglary Thursday.

ADA COUNTY - Two men landed in the Ada County Jail after deputies say they broke into cars south of Boise Thursday morning.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office says the two men walked up and down Bright Star St. near Cole Rd. and Victory Rd. checking car doors to see if they were unlocked.  A homeowner noticed and called dispatch, and deputies nabbed Heriberto Rodrigues Escalante, 21.  They later arrested Pedro Cardenas-Briones, 19 at his Boise home.

Deputies booked the two men into the Ada County Jail on felony burglary charges.  They say the two are likely responsible for more then a dozen other car burglaries around the county.  The investigation continues, and further charges are possible.

Escalante and Cardenas-Briones are said to be illegal immigrants, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have been told of the arrest.
