COEUR d'ALENE -- A judge in Coeur d'Alene has ordered lawyers in the Joseph Edward Duncan murder trial not to talk with reporters.
First District Judge Fred Gibler says he's concerned about Duncan's right to a fair trial and doesn't want the case tried in the press.
Gibler said today he's concerned about the story that Duncan's lawyer offered a deal in which he would plead guilty to avoid the death penalty.
Duncan's trial begins Monday. He's accused of killing three people at home near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to kidnap two children for sexual abuse.
