BOISE - It was one of the best films at Utah’s Sundance Film Festival last winter and for the first time, Boise movie producer Heather Rae showed it to her home town friends and fans.
Frozen River won the grand jury prize at America's top film festival. The movie is about two single mothers who triumph over tragedy and it has already been sold to Sony for $1 million.
Thursday’s showing at the Flicks was the first time it was screened for an Idaho audience.
The film will continue going thru the screening process with hopes that Sony will release it nationally.
Rae also co-produced the highly acclaimed Boise State Football documentary Out of the Blue alongside fellow Boise filmmaker Michael Hoffman.
