Norma Gillis, 74, of La Grande, Oregon, has been found OK according to Italian police.
BOISE -- A 74-year-old woman who went missing five days ago while on vacation in Italy has been found alive and OK.
Norma Gillis of La Grande, Oregon, was on a trip with one of her granddaughters.
On October 1, the two were supposed to meet up at the train station in Florence to catch a train to Rome, but they never connected.
A granddaughter who lives in Boise says police found Norma in Milan.
"Relieved. We’ve been praying like crazy that she'd be found and she'd be safe and we're just thankful that everything turned out OK," said Danielle Gillis, Norma's granddaughter.
She doesn't yet have any details about how Norma got there or how police found her.
