BOISE - Troy McClain, the Boise businessman who gained national
celebrity during last season's "Apprentice" reality show, is considering
enrolling at Boise State University.
His manager, Ed Moore, says McClain met with an academic counselor last
week.
Despite lacking a college degree, McClain survived nearly to the end of
last season's reality show with Donald Trump. He admitted his lack of
education was his downfall. And on hearing that Trump offered to pay for
him to go to any school he wanted.
He's been courted by many. But Moore says the fact that Boise State
President Bob Kustra contacted him personally got his attention.
Moore says McClain's not talking publicly about his plans until he makes
a final decision.
