SW Idaho DUI arrests double

BOISE - The 2008 numbers for DUI arrests in Southwest Idaho are shaping up to be double the average of the last five years.
Idaho State Police say the average number of DUI arrests from 2003 to 2007 was 294.
It is estimated that number will rise to about 600 drivers.
Troopers say 50 percent of the DUI drivers arrested already had at least one DUI on their record.
In early October, ISP launched the DUI Strike Team to reinforce DUI patrols on night shifts.
