Nampa teen admits setting friend's house on fire

Samantha Darling, 17, has pleaded guilty to first-degree arson.
CALDWELL -- A Nampa teenager accused of setting fire to her best friend's house last May has pleaded guilty to first-degree arson.
Samantha Darling, 17, will be sentenced on Jan. 9 and could face up to 25 years in prison.
Police say she set the house on fire to cover up the theft of the family's credit card.
She was charged as adult and could serve time in juvenile detention and an adult prison.

Among the many items destroyed in the fire was a prom dress that belonged to her friend Syvanna Elliot.
The home was a complete loss.
