10:00 AM MST on Friday, November 21, 2008
RIGGINS -- Idaho County Sheriff's deputies and Idaho Fish and Game officers spend the day searching for the body of a 63-year-old Meridian man who is believed to have drowned in the Salmon River.
The Idaho County Sheriff's Office received reports Tuesday of a drift boat that had overturned after hitting rapids at the confluence of the Little Salmon and main Salmon rivers near Riggins.
Only one of the men in the boat was able to swim to shore. Doyle Lamb of Challis made it out of the river.
A dive team searched the area but failed to recover a body of Stephen Hicks. He was last seen in the water near the city park.
Search crews used an underwater camera and search dogs Thursday.
The search will now be scaled back.
