MERIDIAN - Two teenagers landed behind bars – after police say they broke into cars in a Meridian Neighborhood.

Joshua Hokulnla Kalani Beasley, 19 and Devin T. Roundy, 19 are charged with three counts of burglary, and officers say they caught the pair with burglary tools, stolen items from cars and wearing dark clothing.

Meridian Officers were checking out the area of McMertrey and Willowside when they spotted a car being driven with its lights off, then saw it parked in a “suspicious manner.”  When officers approached the car they say Roundy ran away.  Officers found him a short time later with gloves, walkie talkie and binoculars.

After some checking they found at least three cars on McMurtrey had been broken into.

Police returned stolen items to area residents and are checking to see if the pair may be linked to other crimes.
