Police say Sean Carnell and Nick Lippert, both of Boise, are linked to more than a dozen burglaries in Eagle.
EAGLE -- Two Boise teens are in police custody charged with more than a dozen residential and vehicle burglaries in Eagle.
Around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Eagle Police spotted a suspicious vehicle near 2nd and State Street and stopped it.
The deputy determined the passenger of the car, Nick Lippert, 18, was wanted on two outstanding warrants. He was taken into custody.
The driver, Sean Carnell, 18, admitted having marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car and was arrested.
Police say they have linked them to more than a dozen crimes.
Early Tuesday morning police say at least 15 cars were burglarized in three Eagle neighborhoods. Numerous items were taken out of vehicles in the Two Rivers, Eagle Hills and Island Woods subdivisions.
The suspects used electronic openers left inside the cars to open garages and burglarize the residences. All of the cars burglarized were left unlocked.
Deputies found several stolen items inside the vehicle including a loaded gun.
Carnell was also carrying a stolen credit card that belonged to a man who had his car burglarized.
Carnell was booked into the Ada County Jail on a charge of felony grand theft, along with two drug charges.
Lippert was booked on four felony counts of burglary, along with the two outstanding warrants. Additional burglary charges are pending against Lippert.
On Wednesday evening, detectives served a search warrant at the apartment where the two men live in the 7800 block of Ustick Road in Boise.
There they recovered more stolen property, including tools and electronics. The pair admitted they had already pawned some of the stolen items and traded others for drugs.
