Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney stumped in Boise Monday.

BOISE -- Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney spent some time in Boise this morning and gathered a lot of money for his campaign.

He attended a fundraising breakfast at Hillcrest Country Club where about 150 people donated more than $100,000 total.

Afterwards, the former Massachusetts governor talked about two of his key issues.

"I also have described how I would strengthen our economy, and that's getting us independent from foreign oil, and it's enforcing our immigration laws so we can have legal immigration but end illegal immigration," said Romney.

Romney also answered a question about Senator Larry Craig.

As we reported in August, the senator stepped down as the Romney presidential campaign's Senate liaison after news of the senator's arrest in a Minneapolis airport broke.

At the time, Romney had harsh words for Craig, saying, "I can't make sure all my supporters live their lives properly."

This morning, Romney said this about Craig.

"I don't have any further comments on Senator Craig’s tenure or experience, that's something I’ve spoken about before.  I don't really have anything to add to what I’ve said before. I can tell you that I am focused on the future," said Romney.

Lt. Gov. Jim Risch is the chairman of Romney’s Idaho campaign.

This was Romney’s fourth visit to Idaho this year.
