Police: suspect hit 60-year-old in the head with hammer

MOSCOW - A 21-year-old in northern Idaho was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after police say he hit an elderly man in the head with a hammer.
The Latah County Sheriff's Office says Darlo Tolan was taken into custody on Monday.
Police have not identified the 60-year-old man who was found sitting on his porch at a trailer park in Moscow with blood on his head, hands, face and body.
Police said in a statement that both Tolan and the victim live in the Stadium Way Trailer Court and the two men had been drinking together late Sunday when they began to argue.
The 60-year-old man was later treated for head trauma at a Moscow hospital and police have not released the details of his condition.
