BOISE - Record breaking numbers turned out today for the 30th annual Famous Idaho Potato Marathon.

15-hundred runners laced up their sneakers to take part in the event.

The marathon and half marathon started at Discovery Park near Lucky Peak and ended at Ann Morrison Park, with two routes depending on how far each runner wanted to run.

The 5 and 10-k walk and run started at the Albertson's cooperate office on Parkcenter and ended at Ann Morrison park.

Several volunteers lined the course path to handout water and assist the runners.
