A streak of light is show across the sky above Driggs, ID Thursday night. The National Weather Service says it is likely from a meteor.
IDAHO FALLS - A meteor lit up the night sky across eastern Idaho yesterday evening.
Residents from Pocatello to Driggs say they saw the bright flashes around 9:00 p.m.
The National Weather Service confirmed that the striking sky show resulted from a meteor.
Cathy Paskin, of Driggs, took pictures of the event.
They show a jagged trail of light across the darkening sky -- easily visible to the naked eye.
