Jessica Moncreiff is being hailed as a hero, after she saved the life of a boy she didn't even know.
MERIDIAN - A Meridian teen is being hailed a hero.
Ada County Paramedics say she saved the life of a 14-year-old boy who went into cardiac arrest during a little league game Wednesday night.
Justin McAfee is in critical condition at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Paramedics say CPR performed by Jessica Moncreiff saved his life. Jessica did not know Justin - but now she'll never forget him.
Soccer players and baseball players often take to side by side fields at Lake Hazel Middle School. That was the case Wednesday night - but for Jessica it was anything but a typical practice.
"During the game he was running around the bases and got to third base and collapsed and thats when I stopped playing and ran over to help him," Jessica said.
Jessica was the only one in the area who knew CPR, and quickly began the life saving procedure on Justin McAfee.
"When he was laying there I bent on my knees, " Jessica said.
Jessica learned CPR at a Red Cross Babysitting clinic last summer.
"Probably the best 40 dollars I have ever spent," Jessica’s dad Jim said.
"I knew it would come in handy some day," Jessica said.
It certainly did, but Jessica says training on a mannequin is much different than real life.
"When I tilted his head back I could see his eyes rolling back and his lips turned blue and I thought ‘I have to help this kid now!’" Jessica said.
"For 14 years old she just took charge and took control," Jim Moncreiff said.
"I saw the breath go in and he'd breath and then he'd stop so I thought okay, I have to keep doing this,” Jessica said.
Jessica continued CPR for about 15 minutes until paramedics arrived, then she says, the emotion of the situation overcame her.
"I just burst out in tears because it was scary and devastating," Jessica said.
At school - Jessica's peers are calling her a hero. Her dad agrees.
"She was in the right place at the right time, took it upon herself to act and the outcome was great," Jim said.
Justin's parents are also very thankful for Jessica. They are keeping in touch with her about his condition and told her he's doing okay.
Jessica says she hopes to hear from them again tomorrow morning.
Justin is a student at Cole Valley Christian school, and his dad says the school support has been incredible.
The school held a prayer service for Justin Thursday.
Jessica attends Lewis and Clark Middle School.
