BOISE - Citing unnamed sources inside the company, the Corvallis Gazette-Times is reporting Hewlett-Packard could lay off up to 400 people at its Corvallis campus.
While the company says no decision on layoffs has been made, it did say: "H-P's Imaging and Printing group is constantly looking at improving its business to better serve its customers.”
The Oregon newspaper says Hewlett-Packard will outsource jobs.
Technology for the company's popular InkJet printers was developed at the Corvallis campus.
It once employed 10,000 people, but currently has 2500 workers.
