Idaho gas prices hit record, Boise not far behind

BOISE - The average price of gas across Idaho hit a record level Sunday - but the Boise metro area is still below the high-water mark.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.286, according to the Oil Price Information Service. The average is $0.75 higher than the average price this time last year.
The average price in the Boise metro area is still below the record level at $3.271. The all-time Boise-area record was $3.291 set last June.
Prices generally spike in the late spring - and prices are expected to continue their upward climb.
Diesel prices are also at record levels - the average price in the Boise area is over $4 per gall, at $4.092.
The KTVB.COM gas tracker shows the cheapest price for a gallon of unleaded gas in the Boise area was the Maverik station at 1909 Boise Ave - with fuel selling for $3.179. In Nampa, the cheapest price is at the Flying J on Franklin Road - with a gallon going for $3.249.
Albertsons and Costco locations are not included in the survey.
