MOUNTAIN HOME -- A former Mountain Home Police officer is in trouble with the law. Glenn Parsons is accused of sexual abuse of a minor.

Details about the case are just starting to emerge.

After a thorough investigation by the Mountain Home Police Department, Parsons has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and one count of sexual battery.  The victim is a teenage girl.  Her age and how the two knew each other has not been released.

A complaint against Parsons was filed with his former employer on January 22, and that's when the investigation began.

Two month later police say they have enough evidence to make an arrest.

Because of a potential conflict of interest, Mountain Home Police turned the case over to the Idaho Attorney General's Office for prosecution.

Parsons has not been employed by the Mountain Home Police Department since November 2007.
