NAMPA -- Idaho State Police have confirmed that a 19-year-old pregnant woman from Nampa is dead following a head-on crash on Interstate 84 near the Garrity Boulevard exit.
Troopers told NewsChannel 7 that a blue 2006 Kia Spectra and red 1996 Dodge Neon collided in the westbound lanes around 12:25 p.m.
Police say Nora Smith was headed eastbound in her Dodge Neon when she lost control while changing lanes, crossed the median, went airborne and slammed into the Kia.

Nora Smith died in a car crash on Interstate 84 Wednesday.
Police say Smith was not wearing a seat belt and died from her injuries at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. An emergency C-section was performed at the hospital. The baby died several hours after the birth. Smith was about 8 months pregnant.
Smith's 21-year-old sister Traci was a passenger in the Dodge Neon and also taken to St. Alphonsus. The driver of the Kia Spectra, 42-year-old Kiera Lee Neggard of Boise, was wearing a seat belt. They are listed in fair condition Thursday.
Traffic was completely blocked in the westbound lanes until the wrecked cars could be removed. They reopened just after 2 p.m.
Eastbound traffic was limited to the right lane near the accident scene, but is also flowing normally again.
Idaho State Police are still investigating the crash and talking with witnesses to try and determine what may have cause Smith to lose control and cross the median.
This is the second fatal accident in the area involving a pregnant woman this year. Jennifer Storch, 30, of Boise, died in a collision on West Hazel Road in January. Her baby boy was also delivered by C-section and remains in a coma at a Boise hospital.
