Boise Police are searching for Barbara Cobos, wife to a Mtn. Home police officer. She has been missing for two days.
Boise--At least 3 police departments are searching for a Mountain Home woman, who has been missing since Friday evening.
By most accounts Barbara Cobos is a family woman with a normal life a husband of
19 years, four children and a nice home in Mountain Home.
Today family and friends think they have reason to believe that something is terribly wrong after Barbara failed to come home from work on Friday
“He's doing pretty well considering the facts,” said Sgt Russell Griggs, Mtn. Home Police Dept.
Jessie Cobos is used to being on the other side of missing person cases, he's a lieutenant with the Mountain Home police fellow officers gathered at Boise’s factory outlet mall to launch a search for his missing person - his wife Barbara. Sergeant Russell Griggs has known the family for 8 years
“It's a fairly small department so, we know all the officers there... pretty close knit,” said Griggs.
Lieutenant Cobos says that Barbara was last seen at work on Friday , and computer files place her at work as late as 5 pm and the last recorded cell phone call was to the office shortly after 5:05
“We went to her work and that's probably the best starting point,” said Griggs
There's been no sign of Barbara since Jessie tells KTVB, he had a bad feeling when his wife failed to show up for the family’s routine Friday night out bowling.
A night so common that Barbara’s absence even un-nerved their 11 year old son Jason
“She's not the type of person that would leave or go out on this family,” said Jason Cobos.
Kathleen Davis is a family friend, the one person they say , Barbara would have turned to for help, if she physically could
And that's what troubles her the most
“What i really think is that there are really bad people, and i think that she wouldn't even know,” said Kathleen Davis, family friend.
“Well when you don't know what the circumstances are , why someone just didn't come home i would think whether it be a spouse or child , i think every minute counts,” said Griggs
“If you're out there mom we need you. Not just me dad, Sean and Brian and Jessie need you and it's very hard and i love you,” said Cobos
The vehicle Mrs. Cobos was last seen driving is a 2002 silver-gray Volvo Passat
License plate number 3247-J, which is a law enforcement memorial plate
If you have seen either Barbara Cobos or this car you are asked to contact police.
