BEAR, Idaho -- Residents from a small Idaho community are picking up the pieces today after a tornado left the area in ruins.

The National Weather Service confirms it was a F-1 tornado that hit the community of Bear Sunday morning - with wind speeds from 73 to 112 miles per hour that left a damage path one-half to one mile wide and 10 miles long over private and public land. Officials say the damage stretched over about 5,000 acres.

Adams County Sheriff's deputies sent us pictures that were taken this morning near Bear.

At least four homes had their roofs torn off and a backyard shed was thrown almost 100 yards.

There was also lots of structural damage to homes caused by falling trees. However, there was only one reported injury.

A 12-year-old camper suffered a broken collar bone and third-degree burns when numerous trees fell on his tent, pinning him against a cooking stove.
