BOISE -- Officials with the American Civil Liberties Union of Idaho will accept applications until August 22 for a new executive director.
Jack Van Valkenburgh, who led the nonprofit organization for 18 years, resigned in May.
The ACLU of Idaho started out in 1990 with 350 members and has grown to more than 2,000.
Officials say they're looking for a new director who has experience with the legal process, management and fundraising.
A ranging salary for the position starts at $60,000.
The ACLU of Idaho includes a staff of five employees and operates under the direction of a 15-member board with a yearly budget of about $350,000.
