Kuna man lying in road by motorcycle hit by car

Crews respond to the scene of a motorcycle accident in Meridian overnight. A man died after being hit by a car near the bike.
MERIDIAN - One man is dead after a strange accident overnight in Meridian. It happened just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at Amity and Meridian roads.
Police say Allen Dwayne Peterson, 39, of Kuna, was lying in the road near his motorcycle. A witness on the scene said they saw a car hit the man and his bike.
Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg said the cause of death is blunt force trauma - and the death has been ruled accidental. It isn't clear if the man was dead before the car struck him.
Police are still trying to determine why the man was lying in the road.
