ELMORE COUNTY -- An ATV accident in Elmore County Saturday sent two people to the hospital.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. north of Mountain Home in Prairie.

Elmore County Sheriff's deputies say the driver, William Ennis, 57, of Mountain Home, crashed after going around a corner. The ATV landed on his left leg. A 9-year-old girl from Nampa was riding with him and was thrown off the ATV.

Life Flight transported them both to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Ennis is in critical condition in the intensive care unit. Sheriff's dispatchers told us that his leg was nearly cut off in the accident. The girl's condition has not been released.
