BOISE -- Smoke from fast-moving wildfires in California is expected to impact air quality in southern Idaho, according to the state Department of Environmental Quality.
The agency determined air quality in Ada and Canyon counties was in the moderate condition earlier this week.
Overnight winds late Thursday were expected to bring smoke from California into the region on Friday.
Wildfires in California, overall, have scorched more than 790 square miles and destroyed at least 65 structures since June 20, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
