BOISE -- U.S. Attorney for Idaho Tom Moss announced today that a New Plymouth man is headed to federal prison for drug and firearm offenses.

Brian Eugene Blaskey, 53, will serve 100 months for his crimes.

His New Plymouth house was raided by law enforcement officers during a drug investigation on April 3, 2007.

Inside the residence, officers found three firearms and a small amount of meth for sale.

Blaskey, a convicted felon, pled guilty to unlawful possession of firearms, possession with intent to distribute meth, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

He was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Boise.

“This case demonstrates that meth is a drug which scourges all of our communities, from our largest cities to our smallest towns,” Moss said.
