SANDPOINT -- A Spokane-area man has died in a construction accident in the Idaho Panhandle.

Sandpoint Police Chief Mark Lockgood says 25-year-old Ezra Gordon apparently was pulled into a piece of drilling equipment.

It happened yesterday morning at a construction project on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille.

Gordon worked for Crux Subsurface of Spokane Valley.

The geotechnical drilling service company doing work on The Seasons, a waterfront condominium and marina project north of City Beach in Sandpoint.

Authorities say Gordon was one of three people on the drilling crew when his clothing apparently got snagged in the mechanism. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
