BOISE - Boise Police are investigating several car thefts that happened this week, including the prized posession of an elderly man.

91-year-old Van Dors has been working to restore a 1940 mercury club convertable for the past 25 years, but police say someone pushed it out of his garage overnight Wednesday and stole it.

The antique car was not in working condition. Dors woke up Thursday morning to find it gone.

"I was suprised that anyone would even attempt something like that and to get away without us even hearing them," said Dors. "It was quite a shock."

In addition to the antique car, police say a motorcycle and a trailer were stolen in other parts of the city.

Investigators believe the three thefts may be related. They all happened Wednesday night.

Anyone with information on the stolen items is asked to call Crimestoppers at 343-COPS.
