Cambria Suites is showing travelers exactly what one of their suites is like with this model inside the Boise Air Terminal.

BOISE -- Holiday travelers may have noticed something a little out of the ordinary when collecting their luggage recently at the Boise Airport -- a full-scale hotel room sits right by the baggage carousels.

Travelers waiting for their bags to many signifies a destination reached, but to Cambria Suites this a captive audience.

That's why just beyond the baggage carousels at the Boise Airport is a full-size, fully appointed hotel room. The innovative advertising is for the first-ever Cambria Suites, which is being built in Boise.

"All of the rooms have two flat screen TVs, so you'll notice the one in here," explains Damon Anderson. "Who better to market to than travelers at the airport. This was a genius maneuver if you ask me, I wish I could take credit for it, but I cannot.”

Anderson is the general manager of the 119-room, Cambria Suites being constructed just across the interstate from the Boise Airport.

He says there will eventually be 100 hotels like this nationwide, catering to today's business traveler.

The suites, which are 25 percent larger than the average hotel room, come complete with high-tech amenities like free wireless Internet access, flat screen televisions and outlets for MP3 players.

"It's basically to meet the needs of the modern traveler," said Anderson. "This is kind of the new direction we're seeing in the demand from customers is an expansion of just a bed and a television and a desk."

But instead of waiting for travelers to find them, Cambria is putting a whole new spin on room service by bringing the actual room to potential clients.

"We have had this created and will be touring this around the country starting here in Boise, as Boise is the first city to receive this new product. We've gotten an overwhelming response in a very positive manner," said Anderson.

Cambria Suites first ever hotel is scheduled to open in Boise in early March.

Room rates range from $149 to $249 a night.
