A couple was overcharged by thousands of dollars at this Boise Burger King.
MERIDIAN - Burger King will reimburse a Meridian couple - after the fast food chain charged them thousands of dollars for a meal.
Bryan Sampson's wife was charged $2,243.00 for a meal that should have cost $22.43. The mistake happened at the Fairview and Meridian Burger King on Saturday.
Bryan says the manager was supposed to call him on Tuesday, but that wasn't soon enough - so Bryan called corporate headquarters.
The company returned the call Monday morning, and within 15 minutes all the money was back in Bryan's bank account.
“I am very pleased that they responded very quickly but it could have been resolved without corporate,” Sampson said.
Bryan says Burger King will also take care of any overdraft charges to his account.
