Chuck Oxley says the two main priorities during the state's caucus: vote for a presidential candidate preference and select people to go to the state convention in June.
Oxley says this is the first year since 1980 that Idaho has been able to caucus on Super Tuesday. Idahoans usually don’t get their say until much later in the year – when the nomination is generally decided.
Oxley says that is why Hilary Clinton’s campaign is running ads on the air locally and why Brack Obama made a campaign stop in Boise Saturday.
Idaho is one of 22 states getting in on the action on Super Tuesday.
The Gem State will send 23 delegates to the Democratic National Convention in August, and 18 are up for grabs Tuesday.
Oxley says after Obama's stop in Boise - they are expecting at least 6,000 people to show up to Ada County's caucus on Super Tuesday.
