BOISE -- Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama, in keeping with his party's 50-state strategy, is establishing a presence in Idaho.
Campaign officials announced Wednesday the opening of a campaign office in downtown Boise, staffed with two full-time paid officials and one full-time volunteer.
The Senator from Illinois won Idaho's Democratic primary in February, easily beating New York Senator Hillary Clinton.
Days before the Feb. 5 primary, Obama appeared in Boise and drew more than 16,000 people to the Taco Bell Arena on the Boise State University campus.
Obama is running against Republican John McCain, considered the favorite to win in a state dominated by the GOP.
