BURLEY - Police say they have arrested a Rupert man accused of fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident involving a Burley mother and her child.
The Cassia County Sheriff Department says Miguel Castillo, 23, is in custody for allegedly hitting Alayna Anne Dalton and her infant daughter near the Cassia County Fairgrounds Wednesday.
Dalton, 26, and her daughter were treated and released from the Cassia Regional Medical Center.
Witnesses provided the vehicle license plate to police and some identified the driver as Castillo. Police reports show Castillo, who was arrested at his home, did not have a valid driver's license or insurance for the vehicle.
