BOISE -- Two musical stars from the 1970s are getting back together again and will kick off their concert tour in Idaho this summer.

Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina will kick off their reunion concert tour this summer in Idaho on June 24th.

You may remember the hit song "Your Mamma Don't Dance and Your Daddy Don't Rock and Roll," recorded by Loggins and Messina.

The duo sold more than 16 million records.

They have reunited and will be performing in the "Sittin’ in Again" tour.

"We had our moments when we rocked, and our moments when we would get intimate, and that's what we want this show to do - cover all those basis and capture all those different feelings," said Kenny Loggins, entertainer.

The performers envision a two-set show when play at the Idaho Center Amphitheater in Nampa on June 24th.

"The first one will be what Loggins and Messina was when you last saw it, and we want that feeling - the way the dynamics flow. We'll take a little break, then come back, our desire is to come back and do what we call the "sittin’ it again" portion of it where we sit down and do some acoustic songs," said Jim Messina, entertainer.

Tickets for the Idaho concert go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. at the Idaho Center or on the web.
