Soldier’s family well known

BOISE -- Idaho has lost yet another soldier in the war on Iraq.

This is a family name that a lot of people in our community will recognize -- the son of Hans Borbonus has been killed in Iraq.

Nineteen-year-old John Borbonus was a 2005 graduate of Boise High School and went into the Army right after graduating.

His mother tells NewsChannel 7, John was killed Thursday in an explosion in Iraq.

His father, Hans, owns Falcon Crest Golf Course and Cloverdale Nursery.

John was the only child of Hans and Maggie Borbonus and would have turned 20 next month.
