Two suspects in custody in Nampa beating

Nampa Police say Chancellor Baker and Alisha Ritz-Baker are accused of beating and kidnapping a local man.

NAMPA -- Nampa Police say they have made two arrests in the kidnapping and beating of a local man.

Officers say they received a report Thursday night of a man being taken against his will in the area of E. Elder Avenue and S. Colorado Street.

The man told police he was put into a black Cadillac Escalade and taken to an unknown where he was beaten by two people. Afterwards, the suspects released the man who went to a local hospital for treament. He has since been released from the hospital.

Nampa Police took Alisha Ritz-Baker, 27, of Caldwell, into custody early Friday morning on kidnapping and aggravated battery charges. Ritz-Baker is being held in the Canyon County Jail. 

They spent the day looking for her husband and accomplice, Chancellor S. Baker, 26, of Caldwell. He was arrested in downtown Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. Friday by Caldwell Police.

He too faces charges of kidnapping and aggravated battery.

Police say they believe they now have every related to this incident in custody.
