Man arrested after shooting into traffic
08:09 PM MDT on Saturday, April 5, 2008
BOISE--A man is in custody after firing a shot into traffic Saturday afternoon.
Boise police say a man stepped out of his home in the area of Fairview and Cloverdale and fired one round into on-coming traffic. No one was injured but the single shot did hit a power pole nearby. Police say they have reason to believe the man was intoxicated at the time of the shooting and are uncertain why he fired the shot or what he was trying to shoot.
"It appears like it was a pretty random thing. He wasn't targeting anybody specifically or anything like that." said Sgt. Rigo Delgadillo, Boise Police
The east and westbound lanes on Fairview Ave. were shut down in the area for a some time while police investigated the scene.More Local News
