06:54 PM MDT on Saturday, April 5, 2008
EAGLE--Four people are behind bars tonight after police say they stole thousands of dollars worth of hygiene products from an Eagle grocery store.
It happened just after 11 last night at the Albertson’s store on Eagle Road and State Street.
Police say this is one of several places in the area that these thieves have stolen. Police credit an alert Albertson’s employee for noticing the suspects and calling police.
The employee reported three males and one female pulling personal hygiene products and then leaving the store. Law enforcement tracked the suspects to a nearby parking lot and upon searching the car found hundreds of stolen items worth thousands of dollars.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says this investigation is ongoing and more charges are to come. They expect to connect the suspects to other Idaho burglaries.
