DONNELLY, Idaho – Tamarack Resort announced today that they will open part of the mountain for skiing this Saturday and Sunday.
Officials say they have received a foot-and-a-half of snow over the past 10 days and conditions have been very favorable for snowmaking. Tamarack boasts the largest snowmaking operation in southwest Idaho.
"The recent snow and cold weather has truly helped with our slope conditions, and we have ample snow in our beginner area. For those interested in some early season skiing, we've chosen to open for the weekend." said Brad Larsen, General Manager of Tamarack Resort.
The resort will host a “Preview Weekend” to allow skiers and snowboarders to access the beginner area terrain. Tamarack’s official opening is still set for Friday, Dec. 9.
Skiing on the beginner area will be from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Season passes will be honored and lift tickets will be $10 for ages 7 and older. Kids ages 6 and below are free.
Tamarack will also be opening its retail, rental, day care and ski school services along with some of its food and beverage outlets.
