Nampa Christmas tree cut down

NAMPA - The city of Nampa cut down its Christmas tree today!

The 35-foot blue spruce was donated by Joe Wheeler, the owner of American Construction Supply, in honor of his mom who died earlier this year.

The tree was transported downtown to 12th Avenue and Front Street.

The annual tree lighting will take place on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 5:30 p.m. and will feature Christmas music, a kickoff of the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Drive and time with Santa Claus.
